On December 8th, I mailed my ex the last of her sh!t, priority, certified with delivery confirmation and manditory signature release. She lives north of Trenton. I live West of Philly. Post office said 3 buisness days TOPS.

Post office just told me TODAY that they have no records of even so much as one delivery attempt. So much for me telling her that there was "no way on earth there woudlnt have been at least one delivery attempt by now." Now I look like a complete a!@#hole and I have USPS to thank for it

15 BUISNESS DAYS FROM PHILADELPHIA TO TRENTON IS UNACCEPTABLE. FEDEX COULD HAVE GONE BACK AND FORTH CROSS-COUNTRY WITH MY PACKAGE TWICE BY NOW, and these aren't just someones stupid christmas presents either!

It was delivered 3 days ago and USPS's computer system blows so badly that the delivery was never logged or something.... I'll still never use them again.
 
The guys at my post office told me to call NJ (although couldnt provide a phone number) and the people at 800 said that it would take another day for them to be beyond the "in transit" window and send inspectors looking for it.

I want my money back or at least a written apology. I just got the sh!t embarrased out of me and I want someone's head on a plate. That package HAD TO GO THROUGH!
 
The only time USPS is cheaper is when the package is under 2lbs or you don't mind media mail. Other than that, Fedex rules.

Did you happen to drop it off at the 30th St main post office. Cause if so I work over here and we really love to smash the sh!t outta peoples packages before we sent em. Probobly just busted open and we swept her belongings into the reject mail incinerator.

In all seriousness though we have a new Processing and Distribition facility being built to try and cope with the rediculous amount of mail the facility has to process. Actually thats why Im here. Sorry to hear your stuff is gone, but after being here for a while I cant say im too surprised.
 
I'll stop at every single processing station personally rather than deal with knowing I lost it. I'll call the NJ office when I get off work, if someone can't put their hands on it, I'm hitting the road :|

I dropped it off at West Chester PA and it's heading to Flemmington NJ

It's a shirt and some small stuff wrapped in the shirt, all double wrapped in USPS Priority envolopes. WTF.
 
Seriously, why did you expect anything more from them? If you NEED to get a package to its destination, use FedEx or UPS. You shouldn't even think about the USPS.

FedEx and UPS love to leave sh!t in people's doors, under porches, etc. I wanted this signed for by either her or her mother with a copy of the signature in my hand and the package kept under armed protection until that moment. Certified mail was the only way I knew of to be sure of that.

I'll never make that mistake again. Next time, it'll be custom critical.
 
west chester, yep it definilty came through this facility. i ship alot through here and have never had a single problem but I hear alot of horror stories and when I walk the floor of out plant I can see how things get lost. there is such a crap load of mail processed here your package could easily go lost and unnoticed. sorry again for your package.

thanks for your sincerity, but nah nah nah... "lost" is not acceptable. It will be found and in either hers or my hands by this day next week, even if I have to take the week off to be at someone's processing station myself. I haven't called the NJ office yet, but what are my options if they never got it?

Do you know what processing stations it would have gone through? I don't particularly care if they have customer service desks or not, I'm ready to get my hands dirty.
 
ok, so you shippied it delivery confirmation. you should still have your slip they gave you for that. you might wanna also dig up the reciept. your package HAD to come through the Philadelphia 30th st station sorting facility (i dont have the public number here) but this is the place to start trying to track the thing down. WAIT until after christmas so it dies down a bit or they arent going to be able to fully help you, next week should be fine.

i dont deal with the mail processing really (engineer, here for the new building only) but if you harrass em enough you should be able to get to a manger who knows whats up. they barcode track EVERYTHING that comes through this place so they have to know where your package is. hope they help cause your right, its unacceptable.

like i said, you should be able to. of course I cant vouch for the intelect or abilites of the mail handler so YMMV. i hope it works out.
