RESOLVED: No unique sound from rear speakers in 5.1 setup

Basically, my rear speakers only reproduce the sound on their "side." The left rear speaker, for example, plays the same sound as the left front speaker. I am currently using analog inputs from my sound card to my speakers with Dolby Pro Logic 2.

Any ideas on this?

Update: Works great now, thanks for the help.

I'm guessing you're right, but there are literally hundreds of different controls I could mess around with. I'm not really sure where to start.

I was hoping that maybe someone else on here has done it before and could help me out.

Don't use Dolby Pro-Logic 2 when trying to get 5.1 surround straight from your sound card to your speakers. Basically, when you have it set to this, the 680s are trying to decode an already decoded signal.

Try using "6 Ch Direct" for Effect, and make sure your Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS is set to use 5.1 surround in both its mixer and in Windows's own settings.

The 680s rock for Far Cry in surround sound. 🙂

Go to Sounds and Audio Devices in the Control Panel. On the Volume tab, in the Speaker Settings area, click the Advanced button.

BTW, that massive battle at the end of the Rebellion level is freaking hard...
