The topic says it all.. I'm at work, and was installing the BIOS savior (kind of ironic right?) and then after one sucessful boot, I changed a bios setting, and rebooted. long nasty groan came out of the PC speaker, and a message came up "BIOS CHEKSUM ERROR- PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER"

so, I went over to another computer, made a boot disk, threw the bios rom on it.. pushed enter. Nothing happened. Rebooted to try again.. now I don't get that option. Ghetto setup if u ask me. So, my only option to get this working TONIGHT is my friend has a kt7a-raid, while I have the kt7-raid. Will his bios work enough for me to boot from, so I can reflash, or will it screw his stuff up, or what?

I don't want to ruin anything of his too.. I'd feel like an ass.

So u can't get to the BIOS at all? if so...change everything back to defaults. Else maybe goto the manufacturers website and download an older BIOS version and try that.

That's the thing.. I'm pretty sure its dead, because I already cleared the CMOS, checked the seating of my ram and CPU..

so... I can't even get into the bios for anything to show up 🙁

Don't ask me why.. but I think after praying to the hardware gods, they brought my kt7 back to life. It now just mysteriously works.. ahh well. Thanks

Guess I'll try and install the BIOS savior now... lol
