Hello again, Anandtech!

I've been building my first monster build (at least by my standards...not so much anymore) and have a question regarding the case fans. I am using the Antec Quattro 850W PSU inside the Thermaltake Armor VA8000B, with all its fans in tact other than the front and back 120's, which Ive replaced with Apevia red LED 120's of equivalent speed ratings. For those of you unfamiliar with the fan set up in this case, there are two 120mm's, one 250mm's, and two 90mm's in the case (in addition to the fans onboard other components, of course). The manual indicates that there should be one four header molex connector included with the PSU, which appears to have gone missing.

My problem with this is that I am using all five modular connectors at the moment in the back of the PSU and, with the addition of DVD and DVR SATA drives, I need more space. The fans I purchased from Apevia have the same, apparently standard, molex connector setup as the originals, with the power connection split into one male and one female 4 pin header. Instead of dedicating one of each of the PSU's molex headers to a single fan, is it alright to daisy chain those male and female fan headers and connect one end of the chain to one of the PSU's molex headers? If so, what is the maximum number of them that is advisable to connect like this into one molex header of the PSU?

Thanks much for any help you can provide! I can clarify anything I haven't included or have poorly phrased. Im hoping to finish the build and install my OS this evening, but I'd prefer to have this completed before hand. :)

That's what they are made for. You can connect as many as you need (and even with other components) as each fan only draws a couple of watts.

Awesome, ther00kie16, thanks!! I had read a bunch of articles on doing the whole daisy chain set up with molex components, and this is what I thought would be the case. But I was too paranoid to do this without some confirmation from other users. Thanks again! :D Now I can go finish up my build!
