Resolution to MSI 6800GT problem?

I read a thread stating that MSI had shipped a bunch of 6800GT (PCI-e) cards out that only used 12 pipes instead of 16. Anyone know if this problem has been resolved (ie: are all available cards 'fixed')??? I can get a great deal on the MSI card compared to other brands, but am a little worried now.
