I want to resize the partition on my iBook so that I can install gentoo or debian. Is it pretty safe these days? What's the best tool? The parition is 80gb on an iBook with 1536 of ram.
 
No one? I just wonder how dangerous it is, obviously I would backup my important data, but if there is a decent chance that it will result in me reinstalling os x, then i probably wouldn't want to do it right now.
