resize a screen WITHOUT using the display properties

My friend just called me because he resized his screen to a size (I am guessing 640x480)where he is unable to adjust it using the display properties.

Is there a way to adjust the size somewhere other than the Display properties. (I realize that it can be accessed through the control panel or by right lciking on the desktop).

usually at 640x480 you can't see the apply button to click it.
suggest you get him to adjust the slider in display properties>settings to the correct resolution then hit enter on the keyboard.
