How exactly do you play a FPS or TPS on a device without dual sticks? I couldn't quite tell how the person in the video was manipulating what was happening on the screen.

I've been thinking about buying one of the new PSPs, but never thought about the gaming controls.

very easy.

the left analog stick moves your guy from side to side and forward backward. The 4 buttons are used to look around up, down, left and right. The shoulder buttons are used to shoot and aim or whatever and the D-pad is your inventory.

You don't need all the buttons of a ps3. Lots of good games have it where you hold a shoulder down it doubles your buttons because then they all have another purpose.

It was the best console FPS at that time, and it has nostalgic value for a lot of people, but it isn't the best FPS of all time.

I played it for a little bit today. The controls were tough to get used to, the analog stick moves you and the ABXY buttons look around and the shoulder buttons fire. It was ok imo, it's not really my thing so I'm biased. Other people seemed to like it.
