The Banning Thread.
LTK007 was banned for using the forbidden words InBTL (In Before the Lock). If you did not know, InBTL was made forbidden because a while back, everyone simply put InBTL in nef/soon to be locked threads. Also, in the former spelling, there was no "n." I had to add one or the filter would not allow me to post.
To me, it seems unfair that he was banned for this action. I would understand a temporary banning, a suspension if you will, but this banning looks as if it is here to stay. Yes, Ltk007 got around the language filter. Yes he used it in a post. This is not a reason to ban him forever.
My main problem with this entire problem, however, is the fact that he actully posted a comment before he put InBTL. Now-a-days, people don't put "InBTL," but rather a simple "This will be locked soon." There is no difference between the two statements. In dozens of other threads, people use the latter of the two statements, with absolutely no other comment in their post. Evan (ltk007) posted a comment, and then simply added InBTL as a afterthought, yet he is banned and noone else even got a slap on the wrist.
I find this unfair to Evan, and he should permitted to post. He has had his punishment. He has learned his lesson. Why take it any further?
<edit> Well, lets see. I guess i should have made this a poll. 100% of the people said Evan should be readmitted, with 14 votes counted before the polls were closed. </edit>
Sephiroth_IX,
DO NOT edit this out again. You know full well that he was NOT banned for the initials. He was banned for demonstrating how to defeat the language filters. He has already been contacted.
Drop it.

Moderator - I never edited this out. If i did, it was completely by accident, although i am sure i would notice having erased several lines of text. Especially when i came in after the lock to look for your explanation. I'll drop it, but when did he demonstrate how to defeat the language filters? Was it by posting that? I see all kinds of posts that defeat the filter already, and they arent banned...
