Resistance 2 graphics? after the patch

Has anyone noticed that the graphics since the patch, that the graphics look kinda bad now

Models look fuzzy, explosions look very pixelated, Fire looks pixelated

just kinda looks bad

i stopped playing a for a few weeks before the patch ,and went back to it. and it doesnt look as it did before

Explosions and fire have always looked like crap since day 1 (or the beta).
 
I forced myself to finish the less than fun single player, played multi a few times, havent touched it since. going on ebay soon
