I have a Full-size truck near the end of its lease and was wondering if it's possible to negotiate a lower buyout at lease end? Anybody successful at doing this?

PS. Please spare me the merits about leasing/financing.

No harm in calling them up and asking if they are willing to negotiate. You would think they would do anything right now to sell a full size truck.

Sure wouldn't hurt to make an offer with the market like it is. Plus, you'll know what you're bidding on!

I would also like to add that if they won't work with you, there are plenty of trucks for sale right now and you will be able to get a steal no matter what.

Exactly. I do need a truck and I think I can get a comparable one for thousands less than my current buyout price.

Then tell them that and see what happens. Believe me the dealerships don't want trucks and SUVs right now as very few people are buying them. I would use this to your advantage and get a significantly lower buy out price.
