Not sure what you call it...

i have a Abit Siluro 8x AGP 128mb ti4200 non-otes version and have started having problems with this. When ever i try to resize or move an open window, i notice little spots on my screen...like the pixels are changing color. Then i notice that the pixels are 'dead' until i restart, meaning that the spot is there on my desktop where that pixel changed color.

I'm not sure if I'm explaining this correctly, but I'm trying. Does anyone have any ideas as to what i can do to solve this? I notice the spots come up in games as well, but they do not stay 'dead'. I have had the card for about 4 months, and it just started doing this.

I have a Dell Dimension 8100
WinME
384mb of RDRam
updated BIOS and updated the drivers for the card
refresh rate is set at optimal...100hz

Anything else you need to know, just ask me.

Thanks for any help or advice...

Are you using a flat panel via DVI? (not sure if that would have anything to do with it or not). Also, do the colored pixels go away when you switch resolutions, color depths, or refresh rates (in Settings in Display Properties)? Have you tried updated drivers?

Nope..normal CRT monitor with VGA.

I don't think they went away when i tried different resolutions or refresh rates...i'll have to try that again.

I don't have the drivers updated from May 12th that just came out...i'm gonna do that tonight.

Mercenary: The card has a fan on it....shouldn't that be enough? Any apps that I can use to check the temp of the card?

That is what it looks like, and i am talking about. The go away when i change refresh rates, or settings, but come back if i move an open window on my desk top. I updated drivers and still get the same thing.

I was afraid of that. It is still under warranty thank goodness. Still gonna cost me shipping though...which sucks.

I guess i'll just RMA it back to ABIT. DAMMIT!
