Residential light dimmers.

I'm looking to get two three way dimmers for my living room.

What are the difference's from those that are 10$ to those that are 50$. Is there a difference in the power consumption or is it all just pure cosmetic?

Looks like the more expensive ones are for controlling higher wattage bulbs.

The second link doesn't work for me, but the first link is for a low voltage dimmer, i.e. a light with a built in transformer. Using the wrong dimmer on low voltage lights will burn out the transformer.
