resident malware blockers: ad-watch vs SD?

Spybot 1.3 includes a resident malware blocker and ad-aware pro comes with ad-watch.
both seem to do the same thing so which is better and why?

they both catch things that the other does not. One is free, the other is not. The one is spybot mainly prevents certain system changes from taking place (active, through Tea Timer) along with activeX protection through immunization (passive).

BTW, You ever looked into the freeware SpywareBlaster (prevention without resource consumption)

and the freeware Spyware Gaurd, which is more similar to adwatch.

i like the idea of spyware blaster [vaguely recalled hearing about it].
hoping i am taking a complete belts and braces approach as i use Firefox for browsing now anyway. irnoically the olny sites i have problems with are my banking sites!!!

i recently purchased AD-aware pro and have sypot 1.3 so i fiigure i should run with both then if they do differnt things - i was hoping to limit resource usage....

if you own ad-aware pro, use adwatch and spyware blaster (spyware blaster uses no resources and you close the program as soon as you enable all protections and it still works at protecting you just as well as if you had it open)
