Resident Evil 4 comes out December 22nd

This is one of the best games on the Gamecube...the graphics on it are amazing and it makes you wonder how they pack so much onto the mini-disk. Replayability is awesome. I bought it the day it came out , and I still play it....had some of it last week as a matter of fact. It takes a lot to unlock and buy everything you really want. 4-times through the game , and now finishing the mercenaries missions for extra content.

Hopefully the control scheme is a more usual PC FPS setup. I could not get the hang of the control scheme on the Gamecube.

Something tells me the controls wont be the same on PC as on gamecube.

Dunno how well you can port a game like RE4 to the PC and keep the core experience the same. I hope it works but I'm not counting on it...

heh this was suppose to come out May of this year. Aiming with the mouse seems like it would be a cool feature and easier.

I purchased a GC and found some of the RE titles used. Started with 'Zero', but really didn't get into it. Guess I should jump to 4 in the series and give it a shot.

Do they have any pc screenshots yet? I'm really looking forward to finishing this game, i played about 8 hours into it on the gc, but then gave the gc back to my friend.

RE4 is completely different than any other RE game made thus far. Zero is how the RE games typically look. Best reference I can think of as to how RE4 plays is (I'm guessing) from the "Gears of War" perspective. Always behind and over the left shoulder. It's a much different experience as well and it's alot more...well, easiest way to say it is that it's much more "fun." You won't get bored with RE4 anytime soon.

8 hours into it you should have been near the end of the game. Steal it back!

I do believe Resident Evil 5 is listed to come out for the PS3 and Xbox360 (and Wii I'd assume). ...I wonder what kind of timeline it'll be though. If it's half as fun as RE4 was, then it'll be a must-have.

Ever since i bought the Remake of resident evil one for the GC, i got turned off by it. Something about that game that it does not appeal to me.

Near the end? I bet he was just hitting half way. My first time took me 20-23 hours and I don't explore much in games. Where was you at when you quit playing?

I own the game for the PS2 and its wonderful (though inferior to the cube version in terms of visuals and audio). I would play the game over again on the pc with jacked up res with all the AA and AF I can muster. I think standard FPS "wasd" control would be perfect for this game. I do think though that this will be a standard PS2 port after playing the AWFUL Devil May Cry 3 pc port and the underwhelming Onimusha 3 pc port. Those games even still have the PS2 controller button symbols in the game. very lazy ports. This RE4 port has been delayed a ton ...maybe thats a good thing?? Maybe they are making a good effort with this port?? I hope so.

I loved the first RE on PS1 but absolutely hated RE4 for PS2 mainly because of the controls. I actually liked the look and feel of the game, so if they can fix the control issues on the PC version I may pick this up.

Thanks for the info

all the extra content that in the ps2 release

* NEW chapters - play as Ada Wong in "Separate Ways," 5 terrifying, adrenaline-pumping missions that reveal additional horrific surprise
* NEW weapons, including the P.R.L.412 laser cannon and the Gunpowder Bowgun
* NEW unlockable costumes for Leon and Ashley

i read now on amazon that game coming out in may 2007 i hope this is false. i think maybe a misprint because on ubisoft it says may 2006

the control on pc will be great because it will be mouse!
