Resetting Windows 2000 to do dual?

Xe0n

Senior member
At my school, we have a single processor P4 Xeon 1.7 workstation on the supermicro dual board. We now have a second P4 Xeon 1.7 we wish to add to it, however i know that it is necessary to "repair" windows 2000 to support the dual. I tried searching, but i cant find exactly what we need to do in order to make this work.

Thanks

To change from single to dual you can simply change computer type in device manager. To change the ACPI setting requires a repair install.
