Resetting Win ME password?

Does anyone know how to change the windows password if you can't remember the original.I didn't do the install and need to change the password for windows and networking.When i try the type old and confirm new i can't get it to accept as I don't remember the original.Lil help?
 
Try this. Do a search for *.pwl It should come up with, for example RSM.pwl (where RSM is you login name). Just delete that or change the extention and logoff. When you login again, type the username and new password. That works for 98se, so I'm guessing it'll work for ME.
