I have a new Vista Home Premium 32bit install on a Q6600 CPU, Asus P5K-E mb, 4 gb DDR2 800 ram in an Antec Sonata III case.
My son called me over tonight to help him with the computer. On the screen was a small dialogue box that said, "Resetting VI:LiveSensor.Manager.vi". When the cursor is in the box the busy signal cursor shows.
Task Manager shows no tasks running, clicking on the X in the window does nothing, a google search and a search at the Microsoft website came up with nothing.
After waiting for more than 10 minutes I shut down the computer. I got a screen that told me Lego Mindstorm NXT software was still running, even though Task Manager did not show it. I clicked on the End Task box and shut the system down.
My son was trying to save a new Mindstorm program when it happened. He has version 1.0 but a Google search showed many people using it on Vista without problems. There is a Vista compatible version 1.1 but incredibly you can't download it, you have to order the CD and have it mailed to you. My son is working on a grade school robotics team project that is due before the CD will arrive.
Does anyone know what this message means? Like I said, I have found zero hits when searching for it.
