Hello,

got this car and I need to reset the check engine light. The Chevy Dealer fixed the problem but is going to charge me extra to rid of the light. I am like WTF I 'll do it myself.

How can I do it?

Thanks
Phil

What kind of BS is that??????????

Anyway, easiest way is to disconnect the battery for about an hour.

Oh..and autozone will do it as well.

I am kind of heistant though. I don't think they really fixed the problem whatever it is. That is very sketchy. Dealers should never charge extra to clear the check engine code after the correct the problem.

You have a sh$$tty dealer. How are they or you going to know that the problem is fixed if clearing the light is not done at time of repair.
