I have a 1721 that needs to be put into production - but it has a username and password unknown to me. I'd really like to save/keep the config on this one.

It's been a decade since I last had to recover a password on cisco equipment, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: I'm trying the password recovery procedure again. I got stuck on one step but think I may have misread the instructions.

search "password recovery" on cisco.com. It's pretty straight forward. You need a console connection to do it. Let me know if you need any help.
