The Windows 10 I have on my laptop is the same install I've had since Iupgraded from Windows 8 years ago and while it doesn't get used as heavily as my desktop, it still has gotten to feel like it could use a fresh reset. Is there a way to do a 'hard reset' of the laptop or is it better to go through the whole process of reinstalling Windows? Problem is I don't have the disc as it was an upgrade. Which is why I was thinking some kind of hard reset could be better if it existed.

You can always download the Windows 10 ISO file, you just need to know if you want 32 or 64 bit. And you can check in Settings, Updates & Security, Activation ... it will tell you if the current Windows 10 has a Digital Entitlement License or it will show your Windows 10 License Code. If has Digital Entitlement, then the new version of Windows 10 should self activate. If the other way, you would need to input the license code. None of the files here are cracked. They will require either of the 2 license types for activation. You can also go direct to Microsoft and they will have the latest Windows 10 build for download.

Worked perfectly fine to just reinstall from scratch. I was supposed to have a 50GB or so SSD drive in their somewhere on the mobo that I don't see now, but I'm not too bothered by that, I had deactivated its initial purpose years ago which was to quick boot Windows 7.
