Reserve copy of win 10

I have a laptop and desktop that both qualify for win 10.
Over the past few days on the desktop win 10 has tried to install and failed. I have not none anything to request the update.
Can I go into the reserve your copy of win 10 and request a date of say Dec. 1, 2015? I prefer to let the new windows version iron out more bugs before I install it. Again, can I reserve a update for months from now?

Yes, you have to let it "start" the process first. But before it does too much, like reboot your computer, it will ask you to enter a date if you choose not to do it now. I have not yet selected that option, so I don't know what the date options are.

Do yourself a favor, and use the Microsoft Download tool to get the Win 10 ISO file and then put it on bootable media. That keeps you in command. 🙂

I've upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 but got a reboot problem from a update so had to format my whole system, but now it will not let me activate my clean install of windows 10! My key works with Windows 7.

You have to let it do upgrade and make sure that Win10 activated first before you can do the clean install.

So you may need to re-install Win7(or restore from backup/image), make sure its activated, then upgrade to 10 again make sure its activated, then you can do a clean install of 10.

This. If the install didn't complete and Windows didn't activate against the MS activation servers, you can't use it to do a clean install of Win 10.
