Reselling, buying or trading alcohol ?

most states in the US have strict alcohol selling laws. But what do wine collectors and other people do who want to trade bottles, etc? I picked up a bottle of japanese whisky that's selling for a ridiculous amount of money in the US. just curious if there was any legal way for me to sell it/trade it.

I don't know the relevant site for whiskey but for beer use something like beerxchange.com. I've shipped beer across state lines before w/o issue.

There's a difference between individuals selling and commercially selling. Liquor laws are all about taxes. Individuals aren't affected by those tax laws.

I've seen quite a few Craigslist ads from people wanting to trade various whiskies, even open bottles.
