So my real estate agent just sent us a listing of a 1.5 acre property with a house that is subdividable. It's towards the upper end of our price range. (it's $170k)
Anyone have any experience subdividing and reselling land? Seems if I could sell 1 acre of the land, I'd have a good-sized yard to myself and even if I could get $50k, that would bring the overall cost into the lower end of our price range.
Are there any pitfalls? Is it hard to do? Are there services that will handle a lot of the leg work? Real estate agents?
