Research study shows Republicans lie more often

I guess this explains posters like <No call-outs - Admin DrPizza> and the others lie so often.

PolitiFact rated 32% of Republican claims as “false” or “pants on fire,” compared to 11% of Democratic claims – a 3 to 1 margin.

Conversely, Politifact rated 22% of Democratic claims as “entirely true” compared to 11% of Republican claims – a 2 to 1 margin.

A majority of Democratic statements (54%) were rated as mostly or entirely true, compared to only 18% of Republican statements. Conversely, a majority of Republican statements (52%) were rated as mostly or entirely false, compared to only 24% of Democratic statements.
And a special comment for the benghazi truthers:

Regarding Benghazi, the IRS and the Associated Press, Republicans have continued to fare worse than Democrats, with 60% of their claims rated as false so far this month (May 1 – May 22), compared to 29% of Democratic statements – a 2 to 1 margin.
So how would have guessed that the GOP lies way more often? LOL

Not surprising at all. What IS surprising, is how and why they is a following. Or, more importantly, why the GOP isn't doing anything about cleaning up it's act.

I guess we found where moonbeam works...

"Conservative (not necessarily Republican) thought is wrought with fear and anxiety. Their policy is to attempt to mitigate that without concern for actual accomplishments. They don’t seem to realize that the root fear they harbor is counterproductive. However, we can thank organizations like Politifact and FactCheck.org for keeping them on their feet, and grilling them when it’s necessary."

Left wing studies show that right-wingers are full of shit

Right wing studies show that left-wingers are full of shit.

Exactly. Post a thread from either side about a study that rips the other side and you'll get a good circle-jerk going from either side. Meanwhile, both sides in the pest-hole that is DC are screwing all of us.

You may all continue with your false sense of righteousness. Carry on.

Didn't the study demonstrate that Democrats are more truly righteous than Republicans by a 54% to 18% margin?

As a nation the best we can get out of either party is 22% entirely true.

Thank you very, very much for demonstrating to us how an exceedingly clever quip can be transformed into something very, very boring. And I'm sure we all appreciate this new information.

This isn't a big surprise but it's not because Republicans are inherently more likely to lie. Currently the Republican Party is dealing with a radicalized base that they need to appeal to. Saying outrageous things doesn't hurt you with the base, it helps you. Therefore, there's an incentive to say 'pants on fire' type statements.

The reason you don't hear things like that from Democrats as often isn't because they are above it, but because it's not what motivates the base.

Its because their in power.

Not boring. A textbook example of spin.
