requirements for raid?

I bought an abit KT7 raid motherboard today so I haven't had a chance to check it out. What do I need to get raid going? Do I need to have 2 of the same drives or can I use drives with different speed i.e. 5400 & 7200 or ATA 33 & ATA66 or 100?

You can search this forum about Raid for more info, but to answer your question. You do not need identical drives (speed or size). Raid will only give you double the smaller drive size and the performance will be held back by the slower drive as well...I have 2 15GB 75GXPs...FAST in Raid configuration.
