I have 2Mbps upload. Streaming only 720p, I still have major quality issues.

What up rate do I need for a good stream? Or did I screw up the settings ?

Are you sending the streaming media to someone else? If not, then your upload really doesn't matter much unless the connection is completely congested (with P2P/torrents, for example). Your download bandwidth is what is used when you receive streaming media, such as from Netflix.

Depends on a bitrate. You won't be able to stream high quality 720p video with only 2Mbps upload. Maybe if you use highly compressed codec with low bitrate, but quality is going to suffer a lot.

You have to encode it to ~1500kb/s + 128kb stereo, so you'll probably get a better result by lowering resolution to SD quality.

What is your source OP? Are you actually sending 720p files, or are you using a codec (which I suspect).

I used to do 1024x768 x 30fps on the fly encodes out over 10mbits. That was plenty using the WME stuff.
