Ok, there are a couple of things that I was not able to understand, first off:

What was #3?


When Sarah sees Pappy come in to her house, what was the meaning of that? or was there even a meaning or was she just tripping?


Why does Tyrone throw up in the jail? was it just the food or are those symptons of withdrawl from the drugs?

They got arrested because they ended up in a conservative area that didn't like blackpeople/drugs .. why else would they throw him in jail and not treat his arm? That's f-ing sadist.

seriously. i can SORTA see why they'd jail a black person for being is such &quot;hick&quot; country, but i can't figure out why they didn't treat his arm..i mean, it didn't make sense.

#3 isn't in the movie. I've wondered the same thing the first time I saw the film.

In the version with commentary (yes, I'm a geek) D. Aronofsky mentions that Tappy Tibbons is his creation (he's not in the novel) and that #3 is ONLY revealed on the official website. I've been there a couple of times in search of it, but it's puzzle-like and I don't have the patience.

Harry DID shoot up on the way to Florida, I would assume that there was more drugs on them.

I am not sure if you can be arrested simply for being high... It is probably a state law though, so who knows where they were. If they were in the south, then they were probably cracked down on pretty hard. I have no experience, but I have heard that Southern cops are not too friendly to visitors.

As far as Tappy coming in... well I was thinking that it was part of Sara's schizo delusions. She really got hit pretty hard by all that speed. Unfourtunately, it is not too rare of a reaction. Most people that do hard drugs end up like her eventually.

As a side note, I think that every 15 year old would be forced to watch this movie. Best anti-drug advertisement ever.

if you have the directors cut dvd you can watch the entire tappy sequence.. its pretty long actually. just like the magnolia thing with cruise. its at the bottom of the main menu, guess its a hidden feature

Tyrone threw up from withdrawl from drugs and the kind of home sick / crap feeling you get when you're in a jail with a bunch of hicks. Kind of like when Marion throws up after screwing that guy she hated. Nothing physical, she just was so so so uncomfortable that she couldn't take it.

The point of Tappy coming into the house is very obvious. She dreamed of going up there and being basically a different person when she was up there. She dreamed that everyone would like her because she was that different person but she wasn't happy with who she really was so she was having a nightmare (due to her not eating) of her dream turning around and embarrassing her by exposing who she really was.
The point of Tappy making out with her dream self is a little subtle but kind of obvious when you think about it. All day, she watched Tappy so her sexual attraction to tappy was never obvious but I don't think she could've watched him all day if there wasn't any of that type of attraction so her image of herself was making out with Tappy because her image was better then her. In other words, her true personality felt like crap while the personality she wished she could be was doing only what she could dream of.

Oh yea: LOL, they got arrested because the doctor could tell they were junkies so he called in the cops heheh.

No, this was a deleted scene, there is no way you could have seen it unless you have the DVD. However, there is another scene like it, withouth Selby. I still dont believe you about No Sex. I need proof.

1) no red meat

2) no sugar

3) no orgasms

and I don't have the DVD, I downloaded the Divx rip and then bought the VHS...
if you don't believe me, freeze frame it on the &quot;King Neptune&quot; section of the DVD, that's where it is.

I know the scene you are speaking of, however on his whiteboard it just has number 3 and a whole bunch of light blue marker in kriss cross patterens.
