Requiem avenging angle will not run under Dx8. There answear (3DO) is to unistall Dx8 and reinstall Dx7.a. I say the heck with that. This is the first and only game I have run into this trouble with. Does anyone know of anykind of hack or something to fix this?

I doubt too many people still play requiem. You could try to go to a Requiem "fan" web page or something (if there is one). Other wise I would say you are out of luck.

By the way, I do have the game and did play it through (not bad). I could try to load it on my new computer and see how it runs. Did 3DO say that it would NOT run on any Dx8 computer?

cmaMath,

3DO know about the problem and are "working on it". I posted on the 3DO site but no luck yet. I am downloading Dx8a right now. Will try to run it again after i install it.

I did not get home tonight until late, therefore it will be this weekend until I get to it. Keep me filled in.

cmaMath,

No problem. Dx8a did not help. same message stating you need Dx6 or greater. It must be something in there code that wont let Dx8 be valid. The only help on 3DO forums still is to change back to Dx7.

Download and try the just released DX8a upgrade. That might help. It's a 24.X MB download.

Going back to DX7 is not easy to do . . . in fact . . . it may require reinstalling Windows. My choice? Dump the game! :)
