I'm continually bewildered. On my PC, I request and leave encrypted pages and don't get "bothered" by security warnings. But on my laptop (Lenovo T60, also running Firefox) I am continually getting warnings such as the following:
___________________________________________________________________
Security Warning
___________________________________________________________________
! You have requested an encrypted page. The web site has identified itself correctly, and information you see or enter on this page can't easily be read by a third party.
[Checkbox unchecked] Alert me whenever I am about to view an encrypted page.
[OK]

What I find bewildering is that the checkbox is unchecked. If I were to check it and click OK, I presume I would only get more warnings. I'd think the checkbox would be presented checked, so that I had the option to uncheck it and click OK and that I would thereafter not get repeated warnings. Unless I'm missing something, it seems to me that life would be easier and simpler if I did not have to deal with these persistent warnings. I'm only on my laptop on a secured wireless network, and I'm not terribly concerned.
When I leave encrypted pages when using my laptop I get a similar warning:

I've been getting this behavior for months and I'm sick of it. What can I do to make Firefox make sense here, or am I misunderstanding this evidently simple dialog? My laptop's version of Firefox is 2.0.0.12. TIA for information/explanation.
