There should be a Pioneer receiver auction ending just about now. EBay is blocked at work, so I am wondering if I got it.

Just search EBay for:
Pioneer Elite 56

Let me know how much time is left and what the current bid is. EDIT: Try to get me the item number for the auction also.

MUCH APPRECIATED!

Is there anyone @ your home or your friends who can bid for you?

If you give me your user name and pwd, I can place a bid for you... and buy a few things for myself as well. ;)

you could probbaly sign up for a sniping service and bid via that. you would need the item number, which we could get for you.

Thanks!

Done quite a bit of research. I don't care for(need) the HDMI switching on new receivers. So for my budget, this is the one for me. My budget is $600 though ... so I really can't get it :(

There is also a 54 for auction that ends tommorrow. I might go after that ... but the 56 is just way better for the extra $100-$200. The 56 has a slightly better amplification section and it can use it's USB port to act as your computers sound card. The two things I really like about it.

I'm so very tempted to go home and snipe it.

Can anyone do an update to see what the current bid is?

look into a sniping service...they probably are not blocked at work

TRied to snipe it for $631. End up selling for $650!

Thinking about it ... I'm not to shocked. it sold for $900 two years ago. So, someone paid $690 ($650+40 shipping) for something that used to go for about $950 after taxes.

Maybe I'll have to settle for the 54 TX :(

The funny thing is a store floor model is availble for $700 shipped via Buy It Now.
