Hi all,

Sorry if I'm in the wrong forum, but I figured this would be the closest place to ask. I'm in Texas now and typically get my computer parts from newegg.com and some other electronic stuff from buy.com. I'm moving to California shortly and wondered if there were any other computer parts sellers out there that are good but are not based in Califonia. Trying to avoid the whole tax that as I can. Both Buy.com and Newegg.com charge for california shipping. Thanks for any help in advance!

:)

Sure, paying tax is much worse than paying shipping, huh? Get a life

For the most part, newegg charges fixed shipping. When the shipping does differ, it usually doesn' t make up for the 8.25% tax hike paid by Californians. 99% of the time, tax and shipping included, people in CA pay more for newegg items then those out of CA.

Amazon and Dell Home do not charge sales tax in California.

Ajump has willcall/pickup in Fremont to save on shipping.

And best of all, we have FRY's here. :)

The only benefit is next day (overnight) shipping for all items. I've never ordered anything from newegg that didn't arrive the next day. But in most cases I'd prefer to wait an extra 2 days and save $10+ on the order.
