Keep in mind, it's 5am EST on a Sunday (stupid private callers-caller id, one day I will track you down..). My comments below may be less than useful.

Here are my opinions: (Understanding Computer Infections 1-2)
1. This appears to be a primer for a general audience on understanding basic personal computer security concepts. The topic selected is of great value and written in a manner in which most people should understand the concepts. However there are times when you may need to watch your jargon/terms not understood by all users, you should use different language to discuss things in those cases.

2. Find someone that is good at checking grammar, I noted some instances where some enhancements could be made. Also I noted incorrect words were used (I.E. effect instead of affect-not the exact word but you get what I"m saying).
P.S. I suck at grammar, if I found problems I'm sure there are others.

3. I found the information to be accurate to my understanding (keep in mind I have no real world hands on IT experience, just homebrew and from an observation perspective).

Thank you for your comments Oakenfold. Your observations match my own thoughts almost 100%.

There is indeed a problem in terms of target audience, who am I targetting this at? I feel a tension between making it readable for almost everyone and being as technically accurate as I can, that is where it gets messy. I suspect I can cut out quite a bit and still convey the general point.

And yes, the language needs a lot of work, I'm not a native english speaker, and even if I were, I usually focus more on ideas than the language at first.
