I am burning a CD full of MP3's for a computer illiterate friend. I don't have a mac nor do I use them enough to know how to use them. Can anyone write some instructions for the layperson, on how to do it?
I wrote the instructions for PC. Can anyone modify as necessary for a macbook?
1. Copy the files to some folder on your hard drive (I will use c:\music\ in the remainder of the instructions as an example, adjust for whatever location you use).
2. Open iTunes
3. Click File->Add Folder to Library
4. This should bring up a "Browse for folder" menu. Navigate to c:\music\, and click "OK"
5. The songs should now import into iTunes, this may take a few minutes.
6. You should now be able to browse through the new songs in iTunes. Your ipod must be plugged in at this point, if it's not, plug it in now and make sure it shows up in iTunes. I'm sure you're familiar with how to copy the songs to your ipod at this point -- just drag from iTunes to ipod.
