Request for information/statistics regarding use of energy srouces and depletion of non-renewable resource

As I posted earlier in the week, I am doing a report on Biodiesel as a renweable resource.

I am looking for information how much we (the World or US or Canada) uses the non-renewable resources and the current rate of depletion of petroluem.

Pretty much I want to say that we need a renewable resource because we are using more and more resources, etc... My essay is geared towards using these resources in automotive environments.

btw, I'm going thru Greenpeace.org in search for some info right now...but they dont seem to have hard stats...just pics of them getting arrested in foreign countries =)

Since we have no idea how much oil there is, there is no consensus on how long it will last.
