Request a new cmdline option for dnet ?

As discussed here, it's not straightforward to setup dnet client to start as a program (iconized) for any system, unlike installing as a service with the -install switch.

It would be fairly easy to add options to the client that would tell him to create a shortcut in the startup folder for the current user, or for all users. There are function calls in the API to take care of that.

Anyone with privileged (sp) relationships with dnet to ask for new cmdline options or should I go for it ??

Just ask Moose. As long as no one can come up with a good counter argument, I think he'd add it.

Right click the icon in the startup group and configure the program to start minimized.

I am guessing that what you are referring to is that the client does not start minimized.

I agree it would be nice if this was supported from the install script.

It would also be nice if the latest dnet client for Linux was not 30% inefficient in OGR compared to the latest WIN32 client - LOL!!!!
