req'ing *.bin info

Can I get some info on *.Bin files? I know the basics -- they are a CD image that you use to burn stuff on CD's. I've downloaded some, and used fireburner to burn them and they work great, but I wanna know more.

I know you can convert *.ISO to *.bin, but how do you make them? How do make sure when you burn them they will fit on the disk? And any other good questions you guys can think of.

I think you can use CDRWin to make them. Never made on myself though.

Yea u can make .bin files with CDRwin, u can also compile ISO files with a program called WinIso, just drag n Drop files into the program and make it create an iso file.

If you don't want to spend the bucks, go with 'mkisofs'.
It is originated from Linux, but it does have a Win32 version.
