This is classic. The infighting is getting to the point where the Dems just have to run up a single candidate to keep themselves fresh while the Repubs destroy each other in primaries. Role reversal is a good thing!!

Scranton fires campaign manager over Swann remarks

HARRISBURG -- Bill Scranton fired the manager of his gubernatorial campaign because of racially charged remarks he made about Lynn Swann, Scranton's opponent for the Republican nomination, during a televised call-in show last night.
James Seif said "the rich white guy in this campaign is Lynn Swann," according to a story on Capitolwire that the Scranton campaign said was accurate.
Mr. Swann, the former Steeler star, is seeking to become Pennsylvania's first black governor. Mr. Scranton comes from a wealthy family and is white.
Mr. Scranton fired Mr. Seif, an old friend who served in former Gov. Tom Ridge's cabinet, and apologized in a statement issued just before midnight. He said Mr. Seif's remarks "in no way whatsoever reflect my views or those of my campaign."
The show on the Pennsylvania Cable Network also featured Ray Zaborney, a top official in the Swann campaign.
Mr. Seif made the comment while trying to portray Mr. Scranton, who served two terms as lieutenant governor in the administration of Gov. Dick Thornburgh, as a political outsider and Mr. Swann as the candidate favored by the GOP establishment, according to Capitolwire.
"I want to apologize to Lynn Swann, his family, supporters and PCN viewers for the offensive and disturbing comments made on my behalf," Mr. Scranton said in the statement.
