I think I'm going to get hell for posting this. But I just want honest opinions on this topic. It seems everywhere I go I hear prominent republican officials making very poor and political incorrect statements about women, blacks, gays, immigrants etc.....

In addition ordinary citizens who identify themselves as republicans seems to make similar negative statements.....

I take offense. Its democrats that are bigots when it comes to race.

They think that blacks and minorities are too stupid to make it without democrats in government giving them a hand up.

Oh! You mean the constant stream of negative comments about women, blacks, Mexicans, gays and lesbians made by GOP members, their media and their leadership?

Come on, Republicans don't really believe any of that....:colbert:

I guess this is too much of a touchy subject or there aren't many Republicans APN.

It probably has more to do with this subject coming up every week, along with CBD.

Nobody is going to be able to say anything we haven't talked about 100 times before. Like abortion + religion threads.

Opinions are like assholes.

Everyone has one.

Most people do not care or give a second thouight.

However, when attention can be generated by one; the media jumps on it to blow it up.

It's most telling that Dims see minorities as "groups" first and foremost, not as individuals. That way they can apply all of their preconceived 'roles' that everyone is supposed to have and yell racism at anyone that doesn't subcribe to that or fit the narrow template.

So of course a leftist/Dim doesn't understand anyone treating all people as individuals capable of anything any other individual is without some group-think millstone shackled around their necks forever. With REAL equality comes equality of criticism for self-perpetuating failure as well as praise for doing things right... for a Dim busy white-knighting for those whose "role" is perpetual hopelessness/helplessness then of course they will always claim the former is racist.

By the way, most people see through it. Leftists aren't really fooling anyone with all their race-card/baiting horseshit anymore, just other leftist idiots.

To date I have yet to see any national or state level Democrat make disparaging comments about a white Republican President or Presidential candidate solely on the basis of him being white.

Can't say that in reverse.

I see pejorative statements about minority groups from democrats as well.

you see what you want to see.

The CBD in action. Conservatives do indeed see whatever they want. Unfortunately, liberals are more limited in palate generally. There needs to be more real evidence for them to see something. This is why conservatives are generally clueless about their racism and it's obvious to liberals and the minorities who suffer it.

Science tells us that conservatives are the ones most susceptible to group think. Science also tells us that conservatives will use their CBD to rationalize away this inconvenient truth.

And old reverend Jessie used to call New York Hymietown. There are racists and bigots on both sides of the spectrum. Go do a google search on what LBJ said about n*ggers.

Views?? How about actual actions??

http://thinkprogress.org/justice/20...ld-outreach-strategy-to-women-and-minorities/

1. Blocking the Voting Rights Act
2. Voter Suppression
3. Inviting Women’s Bosses Into Their Bedrooms
4. Protecting Anti-Gay Employers
5. Halting Immigration Reform
6. Deporting DREAMers
7. Defending Marriage Discrimination
8. Shutting Down Abortion Clinics
9. Punishing Civil Rights Attorneys
10. Blaming Poverty On Lazy “Inner City” Men

Each one is backed by links, in the link I provided - I am not reposting/reformatting the article.

Frankly, they can make whatever "politically incorrect" statement they damn well please - by all means, speak your mind. Let us really hear what is going on in that alarmist defective brain.

But, republicans are on a proven path to "stop" the very people they make these dumb comments on.

Also, the republican party is the party of lies:
- climate change
- ACA death panels
- ebola being brought into the US by Mexican children
- rape; http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/0...ublican-rape-quotes-everyone-should-remember/
- cries of wanting smaller government and less government involvement,.. unless of course it would benefit one of their causes or items on their agenda
- wages are just fine, its just that the people who get $250 a week and can't get by, are too busy using their money to buy drugs, tattoos, iPhones, abortions and sending contributions to terrorism (ok, that last one was never said,.. but, $10 says it will pop up within the next year,.. what with ISIS pour into the US an what not,..)

So, there are 3 sequential facets to the republican element in this country:
1) The things they say,.. which, again, let them speak their minds. The more clear you are on what you believe and want to do, the better you can ensure the proper people turn out and vote for you and support you and let you rest your feet on their backs. Which then feeds into the next 2,...
2) Their campaigns to stop that/those they fear, immigrants, minorities and women - see the link and list above.
3) Intentional lies and misinformation, character assassination of the people they fear

I think we'll get to the point (in the far future) where no one will listen to alarmists any longer,.. because very little of what they are flipping out over is actually real.

Some conservatives on these very boards even accused liberals of wanting to place conservatives into concentrations camps and another clearly stated this is all part of a plan to 'eliminate' the opposition.

Bottom line, their comments, campaigns and lies are all a result of their defective alarmist brain - they are afraid of things that are not happening.
