It's weird the U.S. has such issues with its democratic process. Over here, mail-in voting is a matter of course. To some groups of the population it's the recommended form of voting. There's no need to register to vote; you're automatically registered from the moment you turn 18 until the moment you die. There's no finicky, obsolete, insecure electronic voting machines, we use 100% paper ballots, for proper record keeping. There's no wacky issues with paper chad or shit like that, we use pre-printed ballots; you pick the one for your particular party, there's a list of the top candidates on it already and stick it in an envelope; repeat for local, regional and national level elections. (Write-in of your own candidates is also allowed.)
And you've been at this democracy thing way WAY longer than we have. My country was for many intents a dictatorship up until the early 1900s and women weren't allowed to vote in elections until the 1920s. So I find it strange there's so many procedural problems (or claims of the same anyway.) It's almost like one of the two major parties don't actually like, or want democracy! At all! lol
I have been thinking the same thing too lately, after having been 1001% convinced prior to his recent corona and BLM stumblings that he would win handily (although completely undeservedly.)
The danger here is complacency, because we've been here before of course; people didn't want to believe he could win the first time 'round either. He was simply too bizarro with his narcissistic egomania, mythomania and bragging, and too vitriolic with his naked, unabashed bigotry, misogyny and racism; a person like that just CAN'T win the presiderpial election! ...But, he did.
So he could, again.
