Trump and Republicans seem to love hiring unqualified people. Wonder why the country is in the mess it's in responding to COVID-19?

Walker’s lack of experience and partisan background has earned him “not qualified” ratings from the American Bar Association

A 38 year old federal judge? That guy will be on the bench for forty years-that's a lot of long term damage that can be done.

This isn't the first "not qualified" judge nominated by Trump-he has already had NINE of them qualified and admitted to this lifetime job. Something for the Bernie Brothers to think about before they sit out the election this fall.

Reviewing presidential performance in nominations (data starts with G Bush)

G Bush:
193 appointments, 0 unqualified (4 years)

Clinton:
378 appointments (8 years)
0 unanimously unqualified
3 substantial majority unqualified (1 withdrawn, 2 confirmed)
1 majority unqualified (confirmed)

GW Bush:
327 appointments (8 years)
2 unanimously unqualified (both withdrawn)
2 substantial majority unqualified (1 confirmed, 1 nominated in subsequent congress, then rated majority qualified, then confirmed)
2 majority not qualified (both confirmed)

Obama:
329 appointments, 0 unqualified (8 years)

Trump:
232 nominees not including 1 discussed here (3 years)
4 unanimously unqualified (2 withdrawn, 2 confirmed)
4 substantial majority unqualified (all confirmed)
1 majority unqualified (confirmed)

The differences are clear.

No the reason is very simple. Same party controls the White House as the Senate, and fears not any political fallout for what they do.
You mean a mafioso crime syndicate controls the White House and the Senate, friend. The answer is yes.

It's becoming pretty clear that Democrats will have to pack the courts to bring some sanity back to the judicial system.

Not sure what that says about the US electorate, mind you.
Its clear.

Dems vote for people like Clinton and Obama, who are incredibly smart, capable, and willing to defer to experts.

Repubs vote for people like Bush and Trump. "A guy you'd have a beer with".

Bush senior was smart, that's why Republicans didnt reelect him.

Ironic as Donald would never have a beer with the common man.
Well, possibly as a publicity stunt, thats the only reason.

Correct. He's also, "a self-made businessman". The GOP has masterfully sold the snake oil that voting for Republicans means that they one day can be in the 1%.

Then we get back to the intelligence part...

Another fine example of a Trump pick.

More Jewish conspiracy, I guess. Fits in with the white supremacy meme of this administration.
