OP has points that have been discussed many times. I suggest reading up on them...

It is my opinion that republicans in general are optimistic. They think that they can keep lowering taxes and maintain social services at the same time. Optimistic that the ways of the past are the ways of the future. Optimistic that massive deficits, a falling dollar, and oil prices will eventually fix themselves. Optimistism is a good thing...keeps ppl from pulling their money out of the markets. (although gold is rising fast) but being optimistic is will only tide you over while change occurs.
