Tsk, tsk. Western and Southern states are looking mighty bad.

Better let a Democrat drive next time. 🙂

Maybe if we get a good driver in the White House the country won't look like the Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech! 🙂 Bush has no clue where he's going...at 500 miles per hour.

hard to get in an accident when your going 5 mph 😉

its not how you drive, its where you live:
Widely dispersed populations connected by narrow two-lane highways. That's a recipe for dangerous driving

Massachusetts is last? Wow, i dunno about that one, we have some VERY aggressive drivers. I fear for my life when i drive here 🙂 Maybe those southern states have a high death rate because there's nobody on the roads and they think they can speed more without much consequences? Or maybe they have lots of drunk rednecks on the road 😀

A few years a go I was riding in a cab in NYC from JFK to lower Manhattan...my goodness I feared for my life and thanked God when I got to my hotel

I've driven on thos narrow 2 lane highways. I don't see them as dangerous at all since they're so devoid of other drives. It's like having your own road. Well, I suppose there is one real danger from such a tranquil road and that's road hypnosis and falling asleep. I came pretty close to falling asleep on a cross country drive before.

Not a really good statistic. You don't know what percentage oif the population is actually driving. Take driving isnt as necessary. I'd like to see deaths per 100,000 miles driven correletaed to population density. Now thats a good statistic.

Well if you go off one of those narrow two-lane roads you die, cause you'll smash into a pole or tree. On most highways you'll just end up in a ditch.

Just because the Dems pork barrel for better roads.........

Seriously though, Ohio has the worst drivers in the country, or at least out of the 35 or so states I've driven in/through.
