It's nice to have the party of Trump as your opponent, but Democrats need a real platform that they all commit to, that when a voter goes to vote, they know they aren't just voting for a guy, but for a whole party's vision of what America should look like. I want to know that if I vote for a Democrat he will do anything in his power to implement certain ideas, no excuses, no holds barred. This is why FDR's Democrats created the New Deal and went as far as threatening to pack the SCOTUS to defend it, and why people stuck with the New Deal for a generation. Obama's Democrats tried to be all things to all people, while being nice at the same time, and they ended up passing a Republican health care bill that they didn't bother defending and selling afterwards, and got creamed in the following election.

I just want to point out that the guy did not run on anti trump platform.
