This is stupid. If he has a secret plan there's no reason not to employ it now. I don't see why he would need a "secret plan" anyways. He's repeatedly said that "staying the course" is the only option and I don't see him budging from that position anytime soon (although if he did, I'd be impressed).

maybe the only solution will be to divide Iraq into three separate nations - 1 for the Kurds, 1 for the Shiites, and 1 for the Sunnis. this might be the only way to stop the ethnic cleansing that is currently taking place.

the fear of that is that the new "kurdistan" will be overrun by turkey, or iran, or something. me personally, i am thinking dictatorship is the only thing that can hold all three together.

It won't solve the problem of ethnic strife if Sunnis chase Shia from the center and Shia chase Sunnis from the south.

Further, with most of the oil in the north and the south, Sunnis will not agree to any partition that leaves them looking like Syria.

Interesting take since the Sunnis are the ones who have been pushing for a Sunni autonomous area so they are not dominated by the Shiite.

Yup, we need to make Iraq state number 52 with a north and south like the ones in California.

2 out 3 worked pretty well for W.

And Ted Kennedy aced the whole shebang!

Math check, Teddy also scores a 2/3, but Teddy doesn't have a cult of mindless sychophants cheering him on to torture, warrantless wiretaps, and the end of habeus corpus. King george gets the tie-breaker.

Saying Bush is better than Teddy Kennedy is not much of a compliment. That's like saying untreated Hep C is better than AIDS.

I don't think anyone is honestly questioning his intellectual capabilities. At least not to W's level.

Hey, give Teddy some credit. He has slimmed down and apparently stopped drinking.

Guess after manslaughter the drinking might have been pushed aside. Though he still looks drunk even when sober.

Viva Saddam?

Although it is on the right track. More brutal measures to ensure an unarmed population must be taken. I've been rather surprised at the level of weaponry we are missing that falls into the hands of the jihadists.
