seems like today will be the day we'll know of this masterful secret plan that Mitch has been working on. Maybe finally I'll get what Trump promised:

Healthcare for all
Nobody dies in the street
Lower cost plans
Lower deductibles
Lower co-pays
Better coverage than our current complete disaster
More Doctors to choose from
More plans to choose from

I can't wait to see this beautiful, great plan.
I'm guessing some details today or tomorrow!

All it means is that the notion of American exceptionalism, that being a conservative American confers some moral superiority totally unearned, has expressed itself against the very morality of socialist thinking that says everybody should have a fair deal, the very morality that tried to give them better health care in the first place. What it means, in other words, is that the delusion of conservative moral superiority exists because of self hate and self hate creates an unconscious psychological need to fuck yourself, ie, the desire to vote for socially destructive politicians. We create what we fear because nightmares happen in a state of sleep. Curse and scream all you like about the madness that possesses us, but there is only one person we can help to awaken and that is ourselves. The need to sleep is profound because to awaken means to feel again and we do not want to know what that is. We would rather all our children die on the streets than re-experience the pain we have felt. This universal sin should keep us from pointing fingers anywhere, but pain made us all fingers.

It's not reading like a big departure from the house plan overall. Delays some phase outs. Of course have to defund planned parenthood for a year which will affect millions. But hey it's only a year right?

As a citizen with a lifelong pre-existing condition, I look forward to see how I am going to be fucked over by these greedy, heartless bastards. Bring it on drumpfy, you bloated fat fuck, I have made it through 2 open heart surgeries, 1 transposition of the great vessel and 3 pacemakers. Nothing you do will beat me down more than I have been already.

As long as I can't be dicked over by pre-existing conditions with my Type 1 Diabetes...
Not sure if I read it correctly. It looks like HSA's may be funded up to the deductible for your plan? That is what I was really hoping for, not the the $6,750 limit if you have a higher deductible than that.

I especially like their little trick to cut Medicaid but have that phase in later. Why would they have those cuts phase in later, you ask? Because the CBO only does 10 year projections. Pretty dirty little trick if you ask me. But hey, when has the GOP ever acted on the up and up?

Well, they'll only get part of that in the CBO score. But more importantly, the pain won't be fully enforced until after the next senate election cycle. House did the same thing in their version, but the phase in was shorter due to House elections being every 2 years.

you owe me a new sarcasm meter. it just exploded.

and 4 Repub senators just came out saying they're voting against the bill as it stands today.
so the senate version is Dead on Arrival.

Two of those are Lee and Cruz, so don't expect those snakes to stay true to their word. It's just a play to make it worse in amendments.

The Rs are stuck together like glue to deliver big tax cuts for their secret superpac donors.

It will be interesting to see how the states react, especially the blue states that will be getting the most tax cuts from AHCA. They could just raise their state taxes on capital gains on high earners to capture that tax cut, but their taxpayers will get an additional federal income tax deduction for state taxes paid, and since the ACA tax targeted the highest earners, effectively they would be multiplying the overall state benefit benefit vs the federal government by a factor of 1.3+.
I personally would rather my tax money go to CA to cover Californians, and get a big deduction from the Feds, than having it go to cover Trump supporters who keep insulting us San Francisco area folks. Effectively, after federal deduction, I would be paying 2.5% instead of 3.8%, but my state would be getting the full 3.8% in revenue.

Depending on what state you are in as the bill currently stands you could absolutely be dicked over due to your type 1 diabetes. This dicking over can happen in two ways:

1) if you ever lose your health coverage then insurance companies can once again engage in medical underwriting and jack up your rates due to your condition.

2) lifetime benefit maximums will be returning, meaning people with lifelong expensive conditions such as diabetes may eventually exhaust their health benefits and be left with nothing.

Enjoy!

I disagree, insofar as leading people into promoting a positive change. We can serve as beacons of hope and inspiration for those still trapped in the darker side of human nature. Not all who walk the path need do so for the right reasons, so long as we find ways to encourage them.

Oregon should do the same thing.
