Sinsear I'd probably never have a government job. Too cushy...

Generalize much?

Actually, off the top of my head, I can't think of a bad government job.

um, being a soldier in Iraq?

Good point

But I was thinking more along the lines of domestically.

Corrections Officer?

That could be pretty bad. I had a close friend that was a corrections officer.

ah.

I was thinking more along the lines of people who'd be affected if Ron Paul brought all troops back inside US borders where they'd have nothing to do.

WTF do you think they were doing before Bush sent them into Iraq? :D

I mean, we have US border guards over there.

They would have plenty to do, it's always a good day to train. Besides, they wouldn't have any less to do here than they would on their base overseas now when they aren't in the field or deployed. I am skeptical that RP would pull 100% of our troops back to the US. Some countries may even request we stay, and offer more to foot the bill. It would be a feat absorbing our overseas forces into US base, I'd have to look at some numbers to form an opinion about how feasible it is.

Ron Paul would give mass layoffs for much of the government.

Oh and I say FUCK YES!!!!

So you want to lay off and put Americans out of jobs?

Not necessarily, but I don't want my tax dollars going to all these bullshit government programs and departments. If that means layoffs well damn, I'm sorry, but we have to rain in some of this insane spending.

You would be talking quite differently if you had a government job.
I have a government job and I'm fine with what he said. But I also know for a fact I'm not in a pork spending job.

In other words, the ones that supply the most money to support your political agenda get the breaks.

At the beginning he said they are trying it in europe but isn't working very well. WELL I WONDER FUCKING WHY?

He said he wouldn't penalize businesses, but reward businesses that make forward steps? How is this a bad thing? You're problem with this plan isn't the plan itself, but basically the possibility of it not being followed.

I've supported this sort of thing before I ever heard anyone mention it. The local smoking ban is what I would like to see overturned and replaced with this, a reward system for businesses that ban smoking... but not forcing them to.

Same here, although I would still vote for Paul even if he directly stated he would eliminate my job. I am more concerned about the future of this country. I have no doubts I could easily find a job in the private sector.

And the private sector would have more money to spend on new hires.

Well there's no doubt that I could make more in the private sector right now, but with all the fat and bad decision making that I see on a daily basis, I feel loyalty to myself and the rest of the taxpayers in this country to try and fight it from within.

Is it me or is it Mr. 911 is talking out of his ass and just spewing craps about budgets and "big Democrat spendings"?

Edit: Actually, is it me or are they all talking out of their collective asses accept for Ron Paul?

I really wish they would have asked Paul the question about increasing military recruitment.

indeed, I'm sure bringing all our troops home where they can sit on their butt and play xbox live *would* boost recruitment.

RP's only real plan seems to be mass layoffs in the military sector.

Another reason not to vote for him.

I find that a reason to vote for him.

We wouldn't need so many if we ended the failed war on drugs.

The question was what are your thoughts on the Presidents Working Group on Financial Markets? McCain answers I have a sunny outlook blah blah and I'd go to my Secretary of Treasury, and I have all these people, yea, that's what I'd do. He didn't even know what the hell it was! The Secretary of Treasury is the Chairmen of the group, so he'd go to him for his thoughts on the group? WTF?
