Ok. Since this song and "Another Drug Land Weekend' was what I heard on the way home as the opening for the weekend by the radio station I used to listen to when I was living in Chicago, this had me confused. So I googled and listened to Were Not Gonna Take it with the lyrics running. It could be the rallying song for anybody. Too bad it got appropriated by the right apparently. That's what that song was about?
He replaced Jake and Beth on radio 104. Beth stayed with the show. He was pretty good. The whole show was pretty good. I didn't always agree with him but I don't remember what things he said that I didn't like. They were few and far between. He is a pretty good guy. People often exaggerate his intelligence simply because they're overcorrecting after learning he isn't one of the brain-dead rockers. After his rock days Dee Snider was a morning drivetime DJ in Hartford, CT. If I recall it correctly he was the replacement for Howard Stern when Stern left. Given his background (heavy/glam metal star with filed teeth to look like fangs) he was surprisingly articulate and seemed intelligent. I have no idea what his political leanings are, but I would be really surprised if he was a Trumper/right winger.
