The dirty little secret of genetics is that intelligence IS hereditary. Not every intelligent couple will have an intelligent child, but they will have a greater chance of an intelligent child.
Purely economically speaking, especially in America, intelligent, educated people are usually in jobs that make it difficult to have kids. Many hours, travel, etc. Plus intelligent, educated people tend to make more money. They can actually have savings goals, purchasing goals far beyond the less wealthy. So basically wealthier people see kids as more of drain on their finances, leaving them with less. While poorer people have so little they don't really see kids in terms of second homes, yachts, etc.
Plus, poor people have always seen their kids as investments in their future. They see their kids as resources to draw on in later years.
Wealthier people don't have kids. They have stock portfolios.
So you're saying wealthier people are more intelligent than poor people? Just wanna make that clear (not that I disagree that it's the case -- in general).
Anybody who devotes himself to making money can make it. It is a question of whether one wishes to waste this one beautiful life on something so empty.
I say do whatever makes you happy, whether it's making money or something else...Afterall, once you're dead it doesn't matter what you did anyway...
