[sarcasm] yea, god knows he would have been able to shoot that sniper... since we all know when snipers are targeting us... [/sarcasm]

Tell me spidey07, how exactly would this guy have
defended himself armed with a pistol and some basic
gun training?

Alright,

I made a rash statement but at the same time had to think home protection could have helped. I'm stayin out of this thread - recent events have made me stock up on ammo and keep my guns stocked-cocked and ready to fire, even the one in the car.

bowing out and feeling like an arse for my comments on what really is a tragedy.

I think in this case a gun wouldnt have helped.. but I agree that there is times it could come in handy.........
If you cant handle a gun, then dont have one- no one is forcing anyone to own guns, but damnit, dont take them away from those who want them...

The only time a loaded weapon has come in handy for me was at a shooting range. Those circles were looking at me funny! ;)

Nog, don't take guns away from all those criminals! Give some more weapons to terrorists too!

(raising of the Russian sub Kursk)
(salvage of the Japanese fishing trawler)
(plane shot down by Russians over black sea)
(loss of privacy rights)
(Yankees beat the A's)

Well, it is sad that he was murdered, but I suppose we'll now see Rosie arguing about more gun control as a result. It's time to use his name for political purposes, as those opportunists love to do.

Note to self: Gun show next week. Buy at least one.
